LIGHT OF DAY CANADA LAUNCHES ITS “NIAGARA’S BIGGEST NIGHT IN MUSIC - TIM HICKS’ HOMETOWN SHOW " CAMPAIGN AHEAD OF NOVEMBER 7 BENEFIT CONCERT

 

 

ST. CATHARINES, ON — August 2026 — The road to November 7 is officially underway.

 

Light of Day Canada is launching the final phase of its 2026 campaign leading to one of its most ambitious benefit concerts to date, bringing an outstanding lineup of Canadian artists to the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

 

Headlined by multi-platinum, award-winning Canadian country artist Tim Hicks and former Barenaked Ladies frontman Steven Page, Light of Day Canada 2026 will bring together artists, fans, healthcare partners, businesses and the Niagara community for an unforgettable night of live music with an important purpose.

 

The lineup also features Miss Emily Band, Stephen Stanley (Lowest of the Low) & NoElectric, Astrid Young (Neil's sister), Evan Rotella Band, Gravely James, Samantha Ava, York Street Thought Process, with a special performance from Light of Day Foundation's Joe D'Urso.

 

But behind the music is the reason Light of Day exists.

 

Proceeds from the 2026 concert will support Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre's Parkinson's rehabilitation program and cancer care through the Niagara Health Foundation and Walker Family Cancer Centre — helping support specialized care and services for patients and families right here in Niagara.

 

Since bringing its first benefit concerts to Canada nearly two decades ago, Light of Day Canada has used the power of live music to raise funds and awareness in the fight against Parkinson's disease and related illnesses.

 

In 2026, that mission has expanded to also support cancer care in Niagara, bringing two important causes together for one extraordinary night.

 

"This has always been about much more than putting on a concert," said Dave Rotella, Organizer. "It's about what can happen when artists, businesses, healthcare organizations and an entire community come together. Every ticket purchased helps us support programs that make a very real difference for people and families here in Niagara."

 

With November 7 approaching, Light of Day Canada is launching its NIAGARA’S BIGGEST NIGHT IN MUSIC - TIM HICKS’ HOMETOWN SHOW campaign — a community-wide initiative designed to bring Niagara together in the final months leading up to the concert.

 

The campaign will include artist features and videos, radio and media appearances, community and healthcare partnerships, corporate and group ticket initiatives, campus ambassadors, sponsor activations, ticket giveaways and stories highlighting the people and organizations behind the causes.

 

Local businesses, community organizations, schools and individuals are being encouraged to become part of the campaign by attending the concert, purchasing group tickets, becoming sponsors, sharing the event through their networks or volunteering their support.
